For the first time ever, St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City became the stage for a live music concert. On September 13th, 2025, the historic square filled with lights, music, and emotion as some of the world’s biggest stars gathered for Grace For The World, a special event celebrating unity and faith.

But it was one duet that truly stole the show—when Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli took the stage with American soul singer Teddy Swims to perform a breathtaking version of “Amazing Grace.” The powerful moment quickly went viral, racking up over 1M views on YouTube.

Andrea Bocelli began the song with his rich, operatic voice, backed by a full orchestra and a dazzling drone show lighting up the night sky. Above the crowd, drones formed the image of the late Pope Francis, who passed away in April 2023, adding a deeply spiritual touch.

Then, Teddy Swims stepped forward. His deep, soulful voice brought a fresh gospel-blues energy to the hymn. Together, their voices blended in perfect harmony—but when Bocelli launched into his final notes, the emotion was overwhelming. Swims softly stepped back, letting Bocelli’s voice soar.

Above them, drones painted images of flying doves—symbols of peace—making the moment feel almost like a dream.

Grace For The World wasn’t just a concert. It was a message of hope and togetherness. Co-directed by Bocelli and Pharrell Williams, the event featured performances from global stars like John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Jelly Roll, Karol G, BamBam, and Angélique Kidjo.

The concert was the final celebration of the 2025 World Meeting on Human Fraternity, hosted by the Fratelli Tutti Foundation. Its goal was simple: to remind the world of the power of brotherhood, love, and peace. As Cardinal Mauro Gambetti said, the event was meant “to communicate to the whole world, with a symbolic embrace, the joy of fraternal love.”

For Andrea Bocelli, the night was deeply personal. A devoted Catholic, he called it “a great honour” to perform at St. Peter’s Square. “I hope it will truly succeed in spreading, in everyone’s hearts, a sense of brotherhood and great humanity, which is so badly needed,” he said.

In a touching interview with EWTN, Bocelli explained why his faith is so strong. “I do not believe in the clock without the clockmaker,” he said. “I believe in the one who made the world.”

Through faith, music, and unity, Bocelli and Swims created a moment that will live on forever. Their stunning duet is more than just a performance—it’s a beautiful reminder of what can happen when people come together in harmony.
