“I was going out to get on the school bus and a raccoon was there and tried to attack me,” said Rylee MacNamara of Ashford.
“It was wrapping its arms around my leg,” she explained. “It really hurt.”
“I thought maybe she slammed her finger in the door. I definitely wasn’t expecting to see a raccoon wrapped around her leg,” said Logan, Rylee’s mother.
There is no word yet on if the animal was rabid but as a precaution the family reported that both the mother and the girl went to the doctor’s office to get checked out and received rabies shots.
As for the raccoon, Animal control tried to track him down in the woods but he’s no where to be found.
